Schecter Pete Townshend Tele

I played in a band where the rhythm guitar player got one soon after they came out...never seen another one since!

I'm on the edge of buying a Schecter PT, but I wanted to know more about it, since HC's reviews are so mixed.

I like the fact that it's a bolt-on with the same 25.5-inch scale as my Fender Strat and Tele. I want an H/H setup, but without the weight of an LP.

Was this it? Oris this a stock Schecter model that Pete based his on?

A couple years ago there was a '80s Schecter PT Tele hanging in the local pawn shop. '80s pink, '80s thin neck, '80s black hardware, '80s humbuckers. For all of its "faults", it was a CS quality guitar. The price was reasonable, $300. Shoulda coulda.

I have an early 80's schecter with a gold maple top.

Here's my 1983 Chandler Schecter, solid maple body, brass and gold fittings.

It is very heavy but I love it to bits............
