How many of us have wished that we could go back in time to say 1961, walk into a Mom & Pop Music Store, and walk out with a New Blonde Tele in a Tolex Case for not much over $200.00....well the fact is you couldn't then, but this is as close as you can get...and I had some "Real" 61s...so I know.

Just a little love for Desperadoville from a non-affiliated customer!

Tony's work, from the moderately-priced re-crafted imports to the full-blown custom Desperadoville USA creations, is absolutely the best I have laid my hands upon.

No matter what it is---- setups on your gear or a guitar he has made or does to spec for you, will absolutely be the best-looking, sounding, and feeling guitar you own.

This is coming from someone who has worked at "custom" guitar manufacturers who charge an arm and a leg for work that doesn't even come close to what Tony does.

Sheesh, wake up folks, get to Desperadoville!

While I TOTALLY hear you on the whole inflation thing, and I COMPLETELY understand what your saying about the quality of the instruments your offering...

I just gotta share with everyone, that the guitar I just sold on ebay yesterday (08/13/2009 see auction link below) and you can clearly see what I got for it. was well above and beyond the average, and that price was a total sucker punch to the wallet.

I'm really starting to worry that folks no longer know how to accurately judge the value of anything any more.

and if you care to dig... you can do a completed auction search for "Bennett Thinline" and you'll come up with an even more dismal deal ( for me that is) and I've been building guitars now for 30 years! I started Warrior Instruments and I'm building some Super cool Retro-furturistic guitars now called J.Backlund Designs.

I wish you the Best of luck man, cuz luthiery is a HARD way to make a living.

Bruce...I couldn't agree more, sometimes it seems it's more about the "Sizzle" than the Steak...(not original, but you get my drift)....Maybe by you and your partner carving out a niche on the Blacklund type Guitars....you might see better results when the economy comes back ?....and since I've been thru a number of recessions....believe me, it WILL come back (always does)...it just boils down to how long you can wait it out ?....which can be tough sometimes....I wish your Business, the Very Best of Luck...and just keep doin what you Love to do, and don't Settle.....Tony

Thank you very much Tony, We're doing a lot of "hurry up and waiting" these days. But this weekend, My business partner (Kevin Maxfield) and I go to the Nashville amp show. to see what there is to see. and i do feel that it maybe does make more sense to build "unique" guitars instead of Clones any anything...

but then I look at Bill Nash guitars and I just wanna hurl. ( not at their quality... just the price verse the product ,ya know?)

Best of luck to you as well!
