The Parsons Greene "copy" is thesame patent purchased from fender. It is basically the same bender on an aluminum plate.

Actually, it can be purchased with a steel or aluminum plate. The aluminum plate makes a considerably lighter unit and is probably the most desirable. The weight of the aluminum bender, when the removed wood weight is subtracted, only adds 6.82 oz to the guitar.

Hipshot aluminum adds 20.32 oz (weight of unit) - 13.5 oz (wood removed) = 6.82 oz added to the guitar.
