palm bending for strats?

Hey there. I apologize if this has asked many times, I couldn't find any specific threads on this.

I read about the Duesenberg multibender, a hipshot bender for strats, etc.

Do these all need to be on hartails?

Is there nothing for floating trem strats? I don't need the trem to be there, in fact it's locked on the guitar I'm thinking I want to put a B and G bender on.

My HipShot equipped Strat has a standard Fender type vibrato. I just have a couple of extra springs inside and it works fine, stays in tune, etc. A hardtail would probably be better if you were looking to have a P/W bender installed.....JH in Va.

Cool, thanks! This guitar has been "locked" with supertight springs. I didn't think they worked with strats that were not hardtails, glad I asked!! :)
