avagadro July 22nd, 2009, 03:05 AM I bought mine Showman used in the late 70's. I run it with a 2X15 cab. it really moves some air. just had it rebuilt a few months ago and the tech remembers doing a rebuild on it in '79. I had completely forgot about having the work done, it had been so many years. love running my Jag through it dimed with no pedals. it really sings. couldn't believe that no one wanted to extole the virtues of the legendary Showman.
64Strat July 22nd, 2009, 10:50 AM my '64 pre-CBS early black Tolex Showman. single JBL D130f in a tone ring. the guitar paired with it is a '63 Esquire.

It'll sterilize small animals at 100 yards. Love it!
viivian23 November 5th, 2009, 11:18 PM I just bought this head at GC for 600$. 1968 with BF wiring. Really like it, but I was surprised how quiet it was?? I'm running it through three 12" speakers. Sounds very nice. Love the trem34538
jh45gun July 6th, 2010, 12:31 AM Don't have Showman but figure my PA100 100 watt is about as close as you can get to Dual Showman with out being one its made to run two cabs and the trannies and tube line up is the same as a 100 watt Dual Showman or a Twin Reverb.
Dave Hopping July 6th, 2010, 02:57 AM Had one long ago-a BF single 15".What a monster! Loved it,and if I EVER get the chance I'll have another one.
Jeff12Jones July 17th, 2011, 08:38 PM My one of a kind 1966 Showman 115 amp. I got the chassis with no cabinet and built the 1x15 finger jointed pine cabinet and covered it with blonde tweed from the local salvage store. Added an EVM 15 and all I can say is wow......
