PHEEEEEEEEEWWWWW!!!!!!!
Tele Fan July 14th, 2009, 12:12 AM I don't have any pics but my first tele was a Nashville. It's what started the addiction.
Verne Bunsen August 13th, 2009, 05:45 AM I'm in! Deluxe Series with the Tex-Mex Tele pups bridge and neck and Strat middle. Black hardware from Guitar Fetish, the bridge and saddles are Wilkinson, and the pickguard was made by Terrapin Guitars. Considering upgrading the pups to Fralins or Keystones, we'll see

boris bubbanov August 14th, 2009, 03:31 PM What model was that again?
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t25/Bubbanov/36JAN262008004.jpg
All with various 3 saddle bridges; actually one with a 2 saddle bridge as we speak.
The one on the end has 2 Seymour Duncan SSL-1s, the middle being RWRP. And the bridge pup on that one is now a Keystone and that fixes all the phase issues; very nice.
The Tex Mex bridge pup is now baseplated and relocated to a MIM Classic 50s Esquire.
43mmNut August 20th, 2009, 03:36 PM Mine's a 2000. I replaced the bridge with a shaved lip one, and reaplaced the saddles with brass compensated ones. Also, switched to a white guard.

boris bubbanov September 3rd, 2009, 12:10 AM Here's that 2 barrel jobber. Ivory colored buttons on Gotoh split shafts, black 3 ply pickguard (body mounted neck pickup and middle pup moved North 5/16ths inches. USA spec)
Very tasty, except the bridge pup is still stock. Needs help.

dr. love September 3rd, 2009, 04:57 PM I'm in... Here's mine after I got done with it: Glendale saddles, Fender CS Nocaster bridge/neck on a standard 3way and CS 54 strat bridge pickup in the middle wired to a mini switch between the vol and tone knobs to get all possible pu combos. Push/pull phase switch on the volume knob and a no load tone pot.

3 Chord September 4th, 2009, 10:33 AM Mine is a 2002, CAR with Rosewood. Changed the rear pup with an low output AlNiCo with a baseplate, 3 Saddle bridge with Brass saddles, and sacrificed the neck/middle selection for the neck/bridge sound.
Tried running it as a stealth Nash with the middle pup under a different pickgaurd gaurd but the output loss was too great so the stock gaurd is back on. I thought it sure looked great with the replacement mint gaurd though, it might go back on.
p.s. boris, what is your string height on that big E string? looks like its pretty darn low.
boris bubbanov September 4th, 2009, 12:52 PM p.s. boris, what is your string height on that big E string? looks like its pretty darn low.
Yeah, that image "is a liar" I guess. The gap is about 5-6/64ths though I hate to measure.
boris bubbanov September 12th, 2009, 12:53 PM I did another black pickguard on one of these yellow blond Dlx. Nashvilles. Stock pickups. I need to base plate the bridge pup, at least.
And I put a tort PG from it on a modded American Series Tele, which is already routed for a middle pup and was not noise canceling in stock form. I inserted a spare Tex Mex middle pup, and I find this is the most useful this 2005 guitar has ever been. 2 and 4 are very quiet:

This one now has an Allparts base plate on the stock Tex Mex bridge pickup, and sound much better in B and B + M. The Allparts is fairly thin, chromed steel, and I rough the heck out of the plate to get it flat and so the solder will stick. I snip those plastic flange thingies off the bobbin, and attach the plate with some shoe goo type stuff. Keeps the plate from squealing and keeps the magnets from making contact with the plate.

The guitar often photographed more beige than that, but the black pickguard, in addition to looking fresh and IMO better, also makes the blonde finish pop more. But by no means is it CS No-Caster Yellow.
My girlfriend very much prefers this color to my No-Caster. She doesn't understand the fuss about that guitar!

Stratelcaster August 5th, 2010, 01:09 PM I thought about buying one of these when they came out, but seriously don't think that i would have known what to do with it. I run it to a Fishman Powerblend; piezo's Behringer 300 watt keyboard amp with onboard reverb, and mag to PV Classic 50 w/ Line 6 M9 in the loop for time based effects only. Incidentally, the pictured cab is a PV classic 115e with a Sica Neo 15" @ 250 watts. Way better than the original speaker. Might add a volume and multi-distortion in the front of the Peavey, but seriously can cover a lot of ground now. I also use the Vetta comp effect on the Line 6 for a boost. Wife likes the color of the guitar, so I can't lose.

I just saw this post.
I've never seen one other than the two I made, anywhere. First thing: Must have a plain G string or the G will be way off intonation. Second" Cannot be a 7.5 or less or a 14 inch or higher radius because the combining of three strings on a saddle has its limitations. less than 9 inch radius and the string heights don't match properly and it doesn't feel right. Over 12 radius and it won't intonate right or at least I couldn't make it work well enough.
Here are some of my thoughts: Wound strings and plain strings each have their own distinct character. Why not group them together in 3s as opposed to mixing them on the D-G saddles? We know that 2 strings together on a barrel sound better than solitary saddles - what if 3 are brought together?
Haven't converted more because of time constraints. I like the way both my 2 saddle guitars sound and I will make more. I will use brass saddles on both the EAD and GB little E barrels next time - and I will remove some of that material on the adjacent ends of both barrels, between the D and G strings although honestly my hand doesn't bump that spot. I may also experiment with slots on both E strings and on the D and G strings to re-establish the gentle radial arc mimicking the arc of the frets better.
finntele1000 October 13th, 2010, 03:20 PM Here is mine. A 2003 model which I bought second hand. I changed the original 6 -piece bridge to a Fender bridge plate and compensated saddles from a Hosco bridge. Then I took the guitar to a (real) luthier who took care of the neck - normal fret job and setup. And now I have a really good guitar -a real keeper.

Long before Fender made a Nashville Tele I did the same to my 1985 MIJFender Paisley reissue of the '68 Tele Burton played with Elvis. Each picikup has its own on/off microswitch and the middle strat pickup is wired in and out of phase depending on which way its switch is flipped...three SD antiquities, a Barden bridge and saddles, and Schaller heads, it plays like a dream...and sounds better every year..."Pink" is one of the most versatile guitars I've ever owned, it can snarl like a beer-soaked tele or quack like a surf-drenched Strat...*** Fenders are the best Fender's made since the pre-CBS days. I also have a foto-flame, '95 MIJ Fender '62 Stratocaster reissue...

Hello!
All kinds of intonation issues with that stock "6 hammer" saddle vintage sized bridge assembly. Because the little saddles move around so freely and lay against one another.
Substitute a 3 barrel style, reintonate once and the issue should stabilize.

biff600 September 3rd, 2012, 11:22 PM Hi all,
After a long deliberation, I have decided to buy a Nashville.
I am getting sunburst with rosewood neck version.
I already own a Stratocaster and this will be the 3rd tele that I will have owned.
I had a 1978 USA Tele in Blonde with a maple neck and then I bought a Thinline.
Both now sadly gone and when I get home from this job I'll post some pics up for you.
The only snag about getting the new guitar is that I'll have to wait until Friday when I fly back to the UK (work does get in the way sometimes !!!)
Pics will follow, but don't expect them straight away, I'll be too busy wearing the frets out !!!!!!
codywylde September 6th, 2012, 08:43 PM I just became a proud owner of a Nashville tele think I'll be very pleased with it,
soulman969 September 8th, 2012, 12:57 AM Here's a '95 MIM Std in the process of it's gender change operation to a Nashville. All stock Alnico Vs in the Tele and a '96 RW/RP Alnico V Strat Middle. I had already installed a 4-way so rather than re-wire it I just wired the Middle to a P/P Pot.

I love the flaming on the top, just awaiting the postman who is bringing me a tort scratchplate and a black pup cover.
TeleP90 January 10th, 2013, 12:00 PM I've had my 2000 Nashville Power Tele for about a month now and it's the best guitar I've ever owned. I love the three pup configuration and dropped a slim humbucker in the middle position for the Stuart Braithwaite style. This guitar is perfect for the kind of music I play. And the neck feels amazing.
Admittedly, I don't ever use the power part of it. I bought the guitar off a friend for an insanely cheap price so there wasn't an option of just getting a standard Nashville.
The cracks in the finish from touring and road wear make it even nicer to me. I love that road mojo. And FYI, the black tape is from losing the screw on control plate. Easy fix and cleanup.
Lets see your Nashville teles. What kind of music do you play and what do you love about the guitar?

Peavey458 January 10th, 2013, 07:06 PM Hey ya'll, does it have to be born a Nashville Tele? Because I just modded a Squier "J5" Tele and I am real proud of it. I play Country, Classic/Southern Rock, Blues. I won't post my pics unless ya'll want me to. That way I'm not crashing your thread. Nice guitars, all of you.

Post it up! Teles turned Nashville are welcome as well.
soulman969 January 10th, 2013, 07:27 PM It just had a "pickup-ectomy" on Monday when I installed an Onamac Tall Blues Tele set and that neck doesn't have a cover so I left the cover off the Strat pickup as well and now they're all bareheaded. Just haven't taken a pic of it since the pickup swap yet.

This is the '95 MIM I converted to a Nashville.
DelayneDeluxe January 10th, 2013, 07:32 PM I spot a Strymon OB. 1 that you are using TeleP90. That pedal is so sweet. :-)

2000 USA Fender...........
Clinchriver January 10th, 2013, 07:48 PM Joe Glaser turned my 1997 B-Bender into a Nashville around 1998. Like:mrgreen: Its been my couch guitar for the last 5 or 6 years, I did the arm bevel last fall, much nicer to play.
boris bubbanov January 10th, 2013, 08:03 PM Another MIM, together with an American Series that has been Nashvilled and was pretty partscastered at the time.

The American is back with its stock neck again, and we're getting along for now.
This blonde Nashville is really not this yellow. Sccloser's 2d image is IMO truer to the actual color of these. Very hard to trick a digital camera into giving a true depiction of this color.
burtonfan January 10th, 2013, 08:25 PM Here's mine...Killer tone!!!
TeleP90 January 10th, 2013, 08:50 PM I spot a Strymon OB. 1 that you are using TeleP90. That pedal is so sweet. :-)

Not trying to take this thread in a different direction but I agree. My blue sky and ob1 are permanent on my board. Wouldn't mind an el capistan on there as well if I had more room. ;-)

ob 1, blue sky and a timeline. Admittedly that's my buddy's rig. I love messing around with it though.

Peavey458 January 10th, 2013, 11:49 PM Thanks TeleP90, Here's my 2 Loves, I always said I would retire my Strat when I found the right Tele to replace it. It's finally going to happen after just a few more mods to THIS Tele.

Great looking guitar, and those photos in front of the bins!
dogfootblues January 11th, 2013, 01:04 AM Ive taken the middle pickup out. Put a 52' style pickguard on and doing a 4 way cocked wah. Shes a beauty. I love her
vintage clubber January 27th, 2013, 07:42 AM My FrankenNashville - Kent Armstrong tele set wired to a 4 way switch with a Kent Armstrong vintage strat pickup in the middle wired to an on/off mini-toggle. The only thing I don't get is the strat pickup by itself with this set up. I have since swapped out the bridge for a 3 saddle.
