Fender ultimate chorus club ""lol""

I KNOW WE DONT NEED A CLUB FOR THESE BIG OVER SIZED SS AMPS BUT I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE FUNNY:lol:... ANYWAY I PLAY MINE IN THE KITCHEN AND THIS IS ONE OF THE LOUDEST BASTARDS I HAVE EVER HEARD I HAVE SOME OTHER AMPS TO COMPARE IT TO -SO ANYWAY THE STEREO CHORUS AND EFFECTS LOOP IS COOL AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE SPEAKERS ARE, THEY SAY SPECIAL FENDERS ON THE BACK OF THEM?????????? IT HAS A METAL SOUND (UNGA -BUNGA) ROCKS WITH OVER DRIVES. SEEMS TO LIKE EFFECST PEDALS BUT NOT MY FAVORITE .........I HAVE GIGGED WITH IT, PLAYED BASS THROUGH IT AT THE VFW.....LOL- SO ANYONE ELSE GOT ONE OF THESE180 WATT(?) (IS THAT RIGHT NOT SURE??) -FENDERS??

i always wanted one of those amps. true stereo. yeah, and loud as h$ll. frickin' cool.

I've still got one. I've had it for about 14 years. It can sound nice clean but I prefer small valve amps at the moment.

I play mostly tubes, namely my CVR,but I have one these that I put in 2 Eminence Red,White and Blues speakers. I'll take it anywhere and not be ashamed!!!

I've still got my 1994 Version 1 (pre-dsp), and it rocks. I had a guy come out to try it and complained it had too much noise, so he wouldn't buy it. I took it to Nashville Amplified Instument Service, and he had just completed a factory sped'c overhaul of the same amp, so we did a side-by-side comparison. Turns out the cord the guy tried the amp with was an el-cheapo (mine) and that's where the noise was from. It matched factory spec perfectly. It rocks, and I am and have been hooked on true stereo chorus since I got my Ibanez UE-402 Rack (still have that too). I used to run that into 2 tiny Peavey 15-watt BackStage amps, set about 10 feet apart, to really lt the sound waft around. The Ultimate Chorus is a sturdy amp, with lush sound, and it fills a room. Never gigged with it, though. I did acquire a Peavey Stereo Chorus 400, and it rocked, but way too loud, and way too clean. That sucker would hurt you.

Try out the Barber Small Fry or the Boss OD3 with the Fender Ultimate Chorus. I think you'll like how they work great with solid state circuitry. Very natural sounding! These work much better than the drive channel on the amp itself.

I have had one (Fender Ultimate Chorus +DSP) since 2001.

I have gigged everything from garage parties to university coliseums with it.

It has 2 separate power amps. Yeah, you read that right - 2 separate power amps, each rated at 65 watts.

From what I understand, the preamp section feeds into the two separate power amps almost like what someone mentioned earlier where they said they ran a stereo chorus into two separate amps (across the room from each other.)

This amp has famously excellent speakers, with tons of woof - they can move your pantslegs, as well as throaty mids and really smooth highs.

The Clean channel is Fenderrific, that WILL NOT break up, no matter how hard you push it. I am literally astounded at how clean it stays at "eviction volumes."

I have one, and it sounds really great. I have all tube amps, and tube-hybrid modelers, and this, and it's the one I turn to when I want a full, warm sound.

I have an ultimate chorus DSP.
I find it one of the best amps to use with my digitech RP500.

I have the non-DSP version (analog?) that I bought new in 2004 or so. The stereo chorus is great, very lush and the amp has a ton of volume. It's a clean amp, but not very distinctive and somewhat lacking clarity. I am swapping out the stock speakers for some Eminence, including the Swamp Thang. The other speaker I'm changing I'm undecided as of now. I'm leaning toward the Emi Red White & Blues. Hopefully the new speakers will improve the tone, but I'm not expecting a miracle. My go-to amp is Billm-modded Blues Junior that has an extension cab loaded with a Swamp Thang. The BJr has a Cannabis Rex in it. This setup pretty much smokes the Ultimate Chorus, but I'd like to get the UC sounding good enough to do a dual-amp rig.

Wondering if those are 4 or 8 ohm speakers in there. I have the same deal as far as volume with my Deluxe 112 Plus. Brutally loud to the point where it's almost too much. It came with a 4 ohm driver and I'm thinking about dropping in an 8 ohm just to take the volume down a little.

I do hear the UC has some good reviews.

I always thought the chorus on these amps sounded a lot better than the chorus on the Rolands that have chorus in their names. Kind of ironic?

I have a 72 Twin Reverb amp that needed to be retired for some repairs, so I happened to be over at the local Sam Ash store and saw a used Fender Ultimate Chorus amp....played it, loved it, and bought it. I used it with the band on Saturday night, and it is an amazing amp....lots of power, and Fender clean sound galore. Much lighter than my Twin Reverb. I'm a "6L6 Tube Amp guy", but very pleased and impressed with this amp. 2-12" speakers, built in chorus, delay, and tremelo. I paid $244.00 + tax, you may find one for less, but this amp is worth every penny paid, and more.

Red headed step cousin? The Stage 160 Analog Unit?

I have a Stage 160 Analog non DSP that I run a A-verb digital effects unit through the effect loop for delay and chorus together for my Jazz tone. Much like the Roland and the ultimate Chorus, balls/power all day and night. Used it only for cleans until recently.

Put a pair of Legends in it, and made it do country tone better than the G12t-100s, but more recently...

A V-30 [I usually hate these] and a Ampeg Vintage 12. Now it does the Jazz, and the clean country, but with the dirty channel, especially with my modded SD-1 it sound fantastic dirty too. I almost tossed this amp a few times.

This style Fender Analog SS amp has lots of potential IMO. Just need the right coils in, and the right coils out I am convinced.

I was too on the small tube amps for a long while, I have 3 great ones. But
this speaker change has me on the Stage mostly of late.

Thank God it has casters!! Nah, 53-4 lb is not too too terrible for a 212 with ball to the wall I figure. ;)

Paid 175.00 for mine off CL four/five years ago, LOUD is true. Have no idea how old it is and yes it's a beast. Need to take a closer look at it, never play it, surprised to find it mentioned in the Amp Forum.

I had one in the 90's. While it indeed sounded real well, the downside was the inherent hiss, and also the loud "pop" on and off. I moved onto the tubes again. I was playing in my church orchestra at the time and the quietness of the room, unfortunately, let the hiss shine through and if I turned it off or back on,,,,"POP". I've seen them used from time to time and am tempted to purchase another for the right price,

I have one and am about to acquire another one. Let me tell you that these amps on the clean channel rival IMHO any solid state amp. I play light jazz and every note comes out clear.

The chorus is also really warm and real fendery. and what's to say about the spring reverb?

i got one and dig it. would not think yall would dig it. so i never brought it up. now my DRRI i has put me in a place that makes me very happy but has also taken me away from my acoustic. the UC was better for my acoustic and need to bring her back out. sigh, I love you fender.

Hey the UC is very versatile. Does acoustic and electric and a ton of clean headroom.
It works for me.

Hey while I am at it, my Ultimate Chorus says Made in Mexico.
I was under the impression that they were made in the USA.

any Thoughts?????

The original model - Ultra Chorus was made in the US, I bought mine in 1993 still have it. Another manufacturer laid claim to the name Ultra Chorus so Fender changed it to Ulitimate Chorus and apparently moved production to Mexico.

Can I be an ex member? Had one for years - sold it about two years ago as it had sat in a cupboard for about six years! Really nice clean sound and a very good chorus - better than many booteek chorus pedals.

Distortion was a bit fizzy, but overall a very sweet amp.

I picked up a very noisy 90's one for $65 last summer to remake as a 2x12 cab. The noise issue turned out to be broken solder joints on the twin tower caps. As soon as I get some other projects out of the way, I plan to build the chassis into a head, and someday upgrade the speakers. I'm thinking Celestion G12H-75's or maybe -100's. The thing is loud for sure, but not as gutsy as I would like.

I dont know if ya'll are talkin about the same power monster but I just bought a Stage 160 DSP with Celestion G12H 160s ,according to what I have seen stamped on some of the circuit boards ,(SS) its a 2002 (?) has a load of effects and from what I can tell it is LOUD!If it is I have ask on a couple of other forum areas ,,amp related, and got only one reply.It does have an EXELENT pair of celesteions ,not changing them BUT I am looking for the 4 button switch that goes to it ....IF this is the same monster any help would be GREATLY appreciated especially with help on the foot switch,,,so Thank you ahead of time.
