Who loves their polytone?

might be a shot in the dark here, but i love 'em...

I have a minibrute iv, bought it in 1992. Use it for guit and bass, never had a problem except for one fuse replacement. Just wish I could get a little more "low end" when using my bass.

Love the sound, great power for my needs and is pretty light/compact!

I love em... they are usually the house amp at one of my Jazz gig, and I can beautiful dark sounds. Wish I had one of my own.

For about 20 years, I have used one for everything - Jazz, rock, funk, country. My pedal board is bigger than the amp. For jazz, just bring a cord.

Are you guys using Polytone's with Teles? Any sound clips?

Had a Mini Brute 2 for years-one of the early ones-a really pure tone-wish I had it back.

I use a strat. Probably not what you are looking for, but single coils...

Great playing. On the first clip (Cantaloupe Is), did you cut the treble with the tone control on the guitar, or is the Polytone doing that?

I think it is position four on the switch with the tone rolled way back - maybe all the way. That is pretty typical of my settings for that style.

The intent of that video was a sound check for the built in mic in a Macbook Pro, so I don't remember for sure.

yes, stella's tele too--humbucker though (an MIM '72 custom), recorded thru a blues junior.

Still got my 85 polytone and it sounds great

Just got a new reverb tank. One of the springs had broken. That and a new
AC power chord, and I should be good for another 100,000 miles.
