American Vintage '62 Custom Telecaster

I see so much love for the '52, but no one talks about the '62.

It's my only guitar. I absolutely love the sunburst finish with double binding.

Me too, but mine is a MIJ with a rosewood fretboard. I had a MIA tele back in 1966, but alas I sold it. I have been looking for a replacement for a long time and got this one two weeks ago. Mine does not have a serial number on it that I can find. The "Made in Japan" is on the heel of the neck near where the neck joins the body. Upon removing the neck I can see a 62 on both neck and body. Does that sound right to anyone out there?

the serial number should be on the bridge on the early MIJ 62 teles.
