telechaser June 26th, 2009, 09:12 PM I checked and didn't find any thread on this.
I don't own own but my friend bought a 5E3 chassis and built another one that I can't remember using parts from Ceriatone.
The 5E3 sounds fabulous. The other one he's having a bit of problem with the transformer.
Please post specs and some details if you built it.

That is a nice piece of gear. How does the Ron Kirn Tele/s like it? I'm leaning more towards the Overtone Special myself.

my Ceriatone 'wreck clone has worked very well and sounds great with every guitar i've plugged into it....
i'm sure yours will too.
Larry F September 4th, 2009, 08:05 PM I just got an Overtone Special and a Trainwreck Express (grant money, not mine). I'm waiting for cabinets and speakers, so I haven't played them yet. The Overtone Special looks very well, from what I can tell.

Oh man... You have to post pics and Sound Clips!! I want an overtone So Bad so I'm going to Save all of my money and buy one Next year sometime. The only problem is that I'm not very good with Electronics yet. I'll let everyon know When (if) I get one.
candh September 25th, 2009, 03:30 AM Well, lets see....I've had an 18watt TMB, 18 watt TMBEF86, 5E3 head, and currently a quite heavily tweaked OTS (one of the very first made) and two more 18watt TMBs on the way. Great amps as offered but superb amps if you know how to tweak and squeeze em.
Joisey September 25th, 2009, 08:44 AM I have a Dizzy 30. Great amp. Crazy loud. Love it. I also have a 5E3 head.

What kind of "Tweeks"?
jason spell February 12th, 2010, 03:53 PM I've got a Ceriatone Expression in a custom Zebrawood cabinet. Its gorgeous.
Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK0Tf_tbtvk
I don't know if I can mention that its for sale. I guess I just did.
Robbied_216 June 1st, 2010, 03:42 AM I've used a bunch of Ceriatone parts in some custom builds. I am using his DC30 transformer set in my own spin on a DC30 clone, and find them to be great. I have not had a single problem with them at all! Definately my first stop for cheap parts for project amps.
plasticvonaband February 14th, 2012, 08:53 PM Here is my Ceriatone HRM Bypassed Bluesmaster 50 with 2x12 Weber 1265 Alnicos, Cab by gabkits. and the C-Lator. Hands down the best tube amp i have owned in my 23 years of playing
squatch March 31st, 2012, 07:05 AM Hi plasticvonaband! How's Lucille?
I posted this pic in the Tweed Twin thread, but I'll stick it here too
My new Ceriatone Tweed Twin...great amp, and totally different to my blackface SR
more of a bluesy sweat-hog sorta sound with harmonic zing

wizard_23 June 6th, 2012, 08:56 PM I used to own one of Nik's 2204 JCM 800's (50watt) but sold that and now I've got a Yeti 100w and a Hey What (HiWatt clone) 103OL. They're both without headshells at the moment though. Got the hunks of wood there, just got to get around to building them along with the matching 4x12's.
tresspassor September 13th, 2012, 05:59 PM My Ceriatone Muchle$$ lightning. Matchless lightning 15 clone. It's favorite of the herd.
Telesavalis September 13th, 2012, 06:29 PM Our lead gtr player recently built a 50 watter. It sounds great and has performed flawlessly. It is also painfully loud.
squatch April 11th, 2013, 05:56 AM I sold my Ceriatone Tweed Twin and bought an Overtone Special
The Tweed combo was a bit heavy for me to lug and I had a hankerin' for an Overtone anyway heh
The Overtone is awesome, great cleans and creamy harmonic-rich overdrives
It's the 50W with HRM mod, and extra valve sockets to run four 6V6's (at 38 watts)
Also got the Ceriatone C-later valve effects buffer, which works great with the D-style amps
I'm stoked! I think they're the best value boutique amp around
I'm using my Super Reverb combo cab with Fender Special design 10's, sounds great!
I planned on getting a Forte cabinet for it later, but the four 10's sound so good I dunno....just looks a bit weird
I'll probably keep my BF Super Reverb in the head cab anyway, 'cos combos are are bit heavy for me these days!

plasticvonaband April 24th, 2013, 02:05 AM Looks even better in these pics, David!!
squatch May 6th, 2013, 05:43 PM Hey thanks Gregg!
Looks a bit funny using the combo for a cab but it sounds good
I was toying with the idea of putting a rack FX in the slot or even another
C-lator if I end up using the cutdown Super Reverb head with the combo cab
Most people say it's pointless putting an FX loop in the Super but I can think of a few good reasons
