Have not heard much about this pedal lately. I remember a few years ago there were quite a few positive posts singing about it's qualities.

I found one on craigslist for cheap and picked it up last night. Won't have time to check it out until the weekend, so.....what can I expect?

The OD's I use now are an old blackbox Marshall Bluesbreaker, ( my fav low gain od of all time ) a Tech 21 Double Drive and a Bad Monkey. The Monkey doesn't thrill me like it does so many others, so that one may go bye-bye if the OD-3 proves to be a good alternative. The Bluesbreaker and Double Drive will stay put as not only were they gifts from guitar playing buddies, but I dig the tones they provide.

So, what say you OD-3 lovers? Am I in for a pleasent surprise or a duplication of tones from what I already have?

Nice pedal. Warmer than most Boss ODs. Good as stand alone, or hitting a dirty amp. I run it fairly clean... just to add a bit of hair.

I've bought a used one to do the Keeley mod to it. Did the mod but it sounded horrible. Now it's back to stock specs and it's on my pedalboard ever since.

It's not Boutique, not true bypass but it gets the job done

I've got a monte Allums modded OD-3. It's my main dirtbox on my pedalboard. I love it. I've got the tri-gain mod whatever that means!!
