Anyone dealt with Bill Bores lately?

Just wondering, as I'd like to get some work done by him. I'd heard that some folks here had trouble with his turnaround times, answering calls.... but I didn't read of any resolutions.
He installed a bender for me a while ago, with absolutely no issues at all, and had my guitar back in my hands in four weeks.
Any info would be appreciated.

I talked to him a week ago, he had surgery on his shoulder and is out of commission for another month or so, and is not taking on any new work till he finishes up the last guitars that are in his shop now,
