I have a Headstrong Lil' King. PR clone with 12" speaker. Tone-wise,the
best amp i have ever owned & i have owned more than a few. The build
quality is first rate & Wayne at Headstrong stands behind his product.

Anyone else?

hey! i am close to pulling the trigger on the lil king reverb. been fiending for a PR for a while. tried the RI and thought it was pretty much unusable as anything but a glorified practice amp. and all the BF and SF's i try are either too expensive, or start to crap out a little later than the RI, but cant hang all the same.
do the lil kings have enough juice to play a gig with a drummer? i am looking for all the juicy reverb and trem, but with the ability to get into some cranked old fendery type overdrives. all the PR i have played up to this point kind of crap out before you get there. please tell me the lil king can hang!
also, i am pretty solid on a 10" weber for mine. just want a nice contrast from my BF deluxe (non reverb) i have already. UNLESS you guys think that is a big part of why these things crap out too early...

put mine on order with wayne today. got it with a weber 10F150P, as wayne advised for what i was talking about. cant wait to get it! ive been lusting for a PR for a while and have a feeling this is going to be THE ONE.

it came! so far, couldnt be happier. i was shocked at how loud this thing gets. really nice amp. i feel like i made the right choice. BF PR sound great, but i would never be able to use one on a rock gig. this thing, even with a 10" weber, could totally hang.

My story is different.
I ordered a Lilking on december and sent 850 usd deposit.
Wayne told me I had to wait for about 5 weeks. After 6 weeks he started to give me always different excuses but didn't ship the amp.
As I had to start a job and needed a small stage amp I wrote to him trying to speed up the delivery without any result. So I wrote him that I had to buy another amp, otherwise I lose the job. Still he promises to ship the amp in a short time and didn't.
After some emails of complain he wrote to me that if I didn't want anymore the Lilking he would give it to some other customers as he had a huge waiting list. I said ok and i, obviously, asked my deposit back.
Four months passed and I didn't had the amp and not even my deposit. Last time he wrote to me he assured he would send me the money but he didn't.
Now he ignore my emails taking advantage of the fact that i live in Italy that is very far away from California.

Guys be very careful, this guy is not a fair person.

Here's his last email

and here's the deposit

That's a crock of ****. The wait is bull****, the excuses, and the non refund delay is not good business. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Fortunately there are plenty of great PR clone builders that will give you top notch customer service.

I have to admit this was not what I'd expect to hear from a company like Headstrong, but I'm glad you shared your story.

Thank you RubyRae,

the saddest thing is that this guy was kidding me since the beginning. He probably thought: " I'll get the money by this stupid italian who's too naive to realize that I'll never ship the amp"

So what happened with this? I am surprised. I was under the impression Wayne and his business were reputable.

Last week Wayne and I reached an agreement and he send me back part of my deposit.
I can say that the issue is closed in a good way
