The 2 x 12 inch version, not the 1 x 15. Easily my favorite amp. Retubed with Eurotubes JJs. Stock speakers are great. Turn the amp up and the reverb down!:mrgreen: Don Wiklund June 26th, 2009, 11:36 AM Just bought mine in 08. Bit of a stretch on the pocketbook but there's no doubt I should have done this a long time ago. Of course the first question that pops up is,"does the TRRI sound as good as the original. Let me settle this argument by offering this tried and true observation. "Money can't buy you love. But it can buy you something so close you won't know the difference". surfoverb June 26th, 2009, 11:57 PM I've got a black one, a 2004 I think. The 2 x 12 inch version, not the 1 x 15. Turn the amp up and the reverb down!:mrgreen: Speaking of turning down, I just blew my last spare fuse. Can you believe the shop down the street stocks no fuses? Wha? I guess that guy would get sick of me just buying picks and fuses. But Kp8 bought a guitar from him on my referral, so am I so evil? boris bubbanov July 17th, 2009, 03:52 AM I took a better look at it today, with fuses in hand. I didn't blow the fuse; it is intact. Just a very faint sound with standby and power on, no power to the light bulb. I think I had this amp on, got distracted for 20 minutes - and when the light went off I just assumed I'd turned it off. I had not. No smells. Any ideas? Much obliged. gaddis July 22nd, 2009, 12:58 AM Looking at the schematic, there appear to be two connectors which get power from the transformer secondary to the tube filaments. (CP13 and CP14.) The pilot lamp is connected to this string also. Any of several things could be going on. One possibilty is bad contact at one of these to connecters. Another is a shorted bulb or a shorted tube filament. You could try jiggling the connectors first. If that doesn't get results, pull the bulbs and all of the tubes. If you then get voltage, then it's one of those. Plug each one back in one at a time until you get no voltage again. That will identify the bad tube or bulb. afonsor September 15th, 2009, 02:41 PM late 90s early 00s black 212 here Snorre September 20th, 2009, 02:30 AM I lucked out getting my '65 TRRI blonde 40th anniversary off of eBay earlier this year: http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q311/smogburn/My%20Guitars/Fender65ReissueTwinReverb40thAnnive.jpg It's full of Reverb goodness! | ||
