I don't know for sure but it looks like he has a two pc Taipan Tone bridge base. Maybe control plate too? That angled switch slot looks like it gives just a little more room and out of the way of the vol knob. Great sounds too!!

It DOES sound great.Vince at taipantone is just great to work with. He has such great ideas and is so quick at understanding mine and making them become just what I have in mind.

Great sounds! This is how Youtube demos of pickups should be done: clean with little to no effects. Some of the pickup demo clips folks submit sound great, but have too much OD and delay, which color the tone too much, after all, it's supposed to be a review of the pickups, not the effects.

I'd love to see Bill offer the tele neck blade pup in a tele size, rather than having to hack up a tele neck rout to fit a strat pup in.

I don't believe that he offers a tele size double blade neck pup in black, unless something has changed very recently.

I have L280's in combination with L200's and L290's on several guitars. Great pickups. How do the L45's and L48 compare with the L280's, L200's and L290's? I'm thinking specifically in terms of clarity, output (relative to distance from the strings), bottom end, and overall impression or feel. I know that I would like the even response of the blade designs when string bending compared with the polepiece models.

Hey Ron, where I can I get some fingers like that, they sound great. Just what I've been looking for.
Seriously though - what amp are you playing through? Any compression or effects? Just trying to get a feel for what all is generatiing the tones. I think the majority is in the fingers.

Ron - one other question. Why do you choose these over the Keystones? Is it mainly because they're noiseless or is it more of a tone thing?

Thanks sooooo much for posting these video's. I was considering these as well as just about all of the other blade alternatives, looking at both the cheap end with the GFS Lil' Punchers for a cheapo guitar project and the uber expensive end with, obviously, Bardens to maybe drop in my Danocaster down the road, but I had somewhat counted these out because there wasn't much info on them and no video or audio clips. These clips just blow my mind!!!!

The thing I love about Bill Lawrence is that he makes some of the best pickups on the planet and everyone knows it, yet he charges half (at least) of what any of his competition do. ****, I could buy 3 sets of these for what it costs for 1 set of Bardens, that's phenomenal! They're so cheap that I'm going to put at least the bridge pickup in my cheapo Tele project and not feel one ounce of weird doing it.

Do these pickups have any humbucker-ish characteristics? Are they any beefier than a standard Tele pickup?

What's the output on these pickups anyway?

Hi,I don't measure dc resistance since learning my lesson yrs ago.Dc resistance isn't nearly as indicative to the sound and output as knowing the inductance, resonant frequency,ac resistance and magnetic properties but most of all just learning to trust my ears. One persons hot blues sound may be someone elses clean vintage jazzy sound. There are so many governing factors in the chain from your pickups to your amplifiers speaker(pots, strings, pick material, cables and there length, pedals whether they are buffered or true bypass, tubes and the speaker itself)and this is only a partial list. With all this being said I perceive these to be moderate output pickups with extraordinary tone used clean or with overdrive-distortion or other effects. They seem to maintain there tone and character better than any others I've tried and I've tried or owned just about all of them in my 46 yrs of playing. Thanks sincerely for your interest and for letting me reply.Ron
