Strap lock question

Does anyone know off the top of their head if the Schaller strap locks use the same size screws as Fender factory screws? I know the Dunlops don't, at least I am assuming that the don't since the first step in the instructions is to drill the existing hole out.

See if the Fender screws fit into the Dunlop strap buttons. If they do (and the ones on my Baja did), use the Fender screws. As long as the head of the screw is less than 1/4", there should be no problem reusing the original screws to mount Dunlop strap buttons. I've currently got 8 guitars set up with Dunlop straplocks, and the only one that caused me to use screws other than the original ones fitted from the factory was my Gretsch, due to the Gretsch's screw on button design (where the 'button' screws on to a separate 'post' which is screwed into the body - an early 'straplock' design).
