Anyone try Yellow jackets in a JTM45?

My 73 DR is off for repairs so I am using my wifes JTM45 thru a 2x12 cab....(Not a bedroom amp by any stretch)

I sure miss the DR.... I wondered about the yellow jackets to lower the wattage but I am pretty sure its the lush reverb I miss most.

Anyone run a JTM45 at home? If so do you have any suggestions to better tones at lower volumes? It sounds sterile in comparision to the DR. If I run a lil delay in front it helps but still............

Thanks,
Mike

 Yeah my wife who is the real musician played in bands for years. Guitar & keys.she still has her Rick but never plays. I am surprised the caps in this hadn't dried up.
But yeah she use to play....loud heheh
It is nice to have her around when I want to learn a song I call her in.. she listens & goes ummm thats a 1,5,3 etc. & I say just tell me the chords please.....

I have used Ruby Tone Bones Triodes in my 50W JMP.

According to the instructions that should be 6-8 watts. Through a 4x12 it's still pretty loud but not excessively so. I get crunch at reasonable volumes :D .

I haven't tried it with the pentode Tone Bones that I guess are pretty much the same as the Yellowjackets but they would obviously be louder. I wouldn't expect crunch at bedroom levels.

I think the way to go if you really want to tame it is to get a 112 box with an inefficient speaker. That'd probably make the biggest difference...

I love EL84 adapters though... Fun and so easy to use...
