I'm looking for any recordings of Junior Barnard other than the Tiffany Transcriptions. He was a member of Luke Wills Rhythm Busters, and I have heard that they released some recordings that were released later on an LP. I heard a version of "Bring it on down to my house" that had a great guitar solo from those recordings.
Any info would be great!

Me too!
I've read about his recordings with Luke, and also Bob's other brother, Johnny Lee Wills. I've read somewhere that these sessions contain some of Jr's wildest playing ever. That's saying a lot because he gets pretty wild on the Tiffany stuff. Any info would be mucho appreciated.

Bear Family compiled some of those recordings on an LP titled "High Voltage Gal." I don't think they released that on CD but you might check their website; they are a German company.
You might also go to the discussion board at texasplayboys.net and ask about this album and other Junior Barnard recordings. "The Pride of Coweta, OK" has a lot of fans at that website.

Check out this record (http://eldiablotuntun.blogspot.com/2006/11/ultra-rare-western-swing.html). There's some Luke AND some Johnny Lee. I'm not sure if Junior plays on all of their featured tracks, but I'm pretty sure it's him on "Too Long".
Also the Proper boxset "Doughboys, Playboys And Cowboys: The Golden Years Of Western Swing" has a Luke Wills track called "Bob Wills Two Step" that features a Junior solo.
Though contrary to trag-o-caster's thoughts, none of these examples are as wild as the Tiffany sessions.

Got to agree that Junior's best work is the Tiffany Sessions. The other stuff is pretty hard to track down. There's an MP3 of "Bring It On Down to My House" posted on this blog:

A collection of Luke Wills and his Rhythm Busters is here (note that the password is required):

I think there's just "Bob's Two Step," "Louisiana Blues," and "High Voltage Girl" which feature Junior, though...

The one you want to get is the Tiffany Transcriptions Vol. 5 - that has the best Junior Barnard stuff on it.
Download it from Amazon for 9 bucks. Listen to Fat Boy Rag!

He was amazing. He played his Epiphone archtop Broadway on overdrive and got a great distorted amp tone.
