Deluxe Player Strat

I recently got a 2007 DP Strat (brand new) and just haven't had much luck bonding with the 12" radius fingerboard. Anybody else have that problem? What is the advantage (or disadvantage) to it over the MIM 9.5" fingerboards. I have an MIM Strat and an MIM Tele (both 2006) and I can really feel the difference. Or at least I think I can.
I guess you could say that I am a perpetual beginner and have started getting into more single note picking (no bends yet) over strumming chords.

Thanks,
Bone

Be patient. It'll come to you, and IMO you can improve your general skills faster player a couple different types of board radius.

It took me a little playing to adjust to the flatter 12 in radius on my Deluxe Players vs. the 9.5 on my standard. At first the 9.5 felt "faster" which is what I think it's supposed to do. The 12 feels just fine to me now. The commonly stated advantage to the flatter radius is that you can bend further without hitting higher frets and killing the note. Don't know, I play with 12's and don't bend that far. (I'm no Popeye.)
