New Tele-Noisy Switch?

My son has a new MIM Standard Tele. There is some static when the pickup switch is being moved from one position to the next. Once it lands on a position it's fine but changing is too noisy.

All the wires appear to be intact. Do we just need to get some contact cleaner or do you think we got a bad switch here?

I would say that, the tuner (contact) cleaner is about the only thing you can try.
After that... then you can question the switch.

Yep...that is a Fine Product...it's all I use.
