How 'bout recommendations on Fuzz-Wah

pedal? The Dunlop made Jimi Hendrix products are popular. What else is good? I'm also intriged by the JH Octave Fuzz, does anyone use these??

I'm not a fan of the Dunlop stomp boxes, they own some good names, but the tone just isn't there. Fuzz is the one area where I find boutique is the only way to go. The circuits are simple, but if the transistors are carefully selected they don't sound right.

production wahs are getting better, there are the various Crybaby and Voxes that are pretty good. On the High end Teese, Fulltone and buddha all make nice units.

I own a teese RMC 3 wah, it doesn't see much use. My favorite fuzz is an Analogman Sunface, I also have a ZVex fuzz factory for more over the top effects.

If you want to get real serious about octave fuzz, you gotta check out the Z. Vex Octane (not cheap, though). And for the comparably ultimate wah, the Teese Picture Wah is unbeatable. Both of these effects will get you closer to Jimi's sound than anything with his name on it.
