FWIW I play it in G rather than F# The chorus part (You know I like my chicken fried...) has a little more emphasis on the upbeats (or 2 & 4, depending on how you count). On the first line, the 1 beat of the measure is on "chick" of chicken. When you come in for the second half of the chorus, it starts on the 2 beat, not the 1. 1 beats are in bold G You know I like my chicken fried D Cold beer on a Friday night C Pair of jeans that fit just right G - D And the radio uuu- uuup The verses are heavy emphasis on the 1 beat of each measure. G - D - C - D I was raised undeneath the shade of a Georgia pine, and that's home you know The tricky part is the the last verse. The timing of the chord strumming is easy, but fitting the words in properly is the hard part. Hope this helps.
