Roland RE 201 vs echoplex (tape delays)

There has been some posts here recently about the echoplex. Does anyone have any experience with the roland version? I'm thinking about the roland re 201 space echo. They come up every now and then on ebay. I'm curious how they compare with the old echoplex in terms of sound, reliability, and ease of use.
Also... anyone try out one of the new fulltone tape delays yet?

Having been down the Echoplex road, I suggest an H&K Replex. I've been using one for a while now.

It has a great "crap factor" when you turn the vintage knob - not just noise, but some random wow and flutter as well. All this with NO tape worries, and a 12AX7 tube preamp to drive it like a vintage green Echoplex. It sounds like anything from a well-serviced Echoplex to one that's been sitting in mud, depending on how you work the settings. No digital-sounding tones. artifacts, etc. Also has a decent buiult-in reverb.

One of my favorite effects devices ever.

Silverface took the words right outta my mouth.
H&K makes grrreat stuff. I'm not into Reverb but
I loves delay. Brian Setzer has had the Roland sittin'
on top of his Blonde piggybacks for years so they're
pretty funky too.
