I have a HWY1 tele. I love my tele but would like a "more rockin" crunch out of her. Ive read that many people love the s.d. lil 59, but I already have some spare hotrails and jb jr's around the house. Im kinda in search for a Les-Pauly crunchy tone. I know, I know...amps, effects, playing style, all influence tone. Everyone suggestions are appreciated.

I used both of them, and had great results with both of them. The Hot Rails is hotter, with more high end bite, but it can get a little harsh (which is a really bad thing for Teles), and it doesn't clean up as well as the JBJr. Also, in my experience, it really doesn't sound well when you split it, either used alone, or combined with another single-coil pickup.
I like the JBJr. better, it's still plently hot, and still got plenty of high end, but it seems to have better clean tones, and stills sounds good when you split it.
If you're still wanting to get some traditional Tele tones too, I'd go with the JBJr., and a coil tap of some sort (push/pull pot). It won't be identical to a real Tele bridge pup with a base-plate, but you can get in that neighborhood.
