Anyone have one of these? ALLPARTS part # JMF-BB 70's style maple jazz neck w/black block inlays and black binding.I wanted to know if there were really inlays or jus a cheap overlay.

Had one a few years ago. Nice neck. Inlay work was clean. Frets overhung the binding like a MIJ 75 RI - not a bad thing as it makes fret maintenance easier and hence cheaper... The neck was a heavy mofo though. It didn't last with me for that reason. I even went as far as ultra light tuning machines - still couldnt get it to balance. Might have been just that neck I suppose.

FWIW, I'm working with a Mity Mite neck - standard RW and dot's, no binding - utility neck, nothing fancy. Workmanship seems good though.

I just wanted to be sure they were infact inlays.I don't like the idea of a heavy neck.I get ap stuff at cost so if it turns out to be a stinker i'll off it.Some will give it a good home i'm sure, especially if it's cheap.

If you try it and don't care for it, let me know.....I've been thinking about trying one myself.

I just ordered one along with a bunch of tele necks and parts through my friend this afternoon.Should be in a week or so if it's not backordered.I'll post my opinion when it arrives.

I have a warmoth jazz neck i was going to use but it needs some work lol.Someone drilled the tuner holes too close to the edge of the headstock and did'nt space them properly so everything needs to be filled sanded and probably sprayed black.
