Any thoughts on AX-84 P1 amp?

Well, I want to enter the arena of tube amp building and I've been doing some research on different kits and plans. Has anyone put together or used the AX-84 P1 amp?

Other questions:

1. What kinds of tones are you able to put together with the P1? (also what tubes are you using to get that tone?)

2. How difficult (newbie with guitar wiring experience) is the build?

3. Are you using the octal or noval tubes?

The P1 is a good place to start. I would suggest that you begin posting over there as well. There's a host of knowledge and plenty of help when you make mistakes.

I recommend using octal tubes for a first build. Gives you a little more space to wire everything up! :cool:
