Wiggle (switch and pots)

My pots have a slight wiggle to them, and my switch doesn't have 3 stout distinct positions, but kind of wanders.

A lot of guitars that I play in stores are like this, but occasionally, you find one with rock solid pots/knobs and a switch that just locks into position and has more resistance to change it.

Is there a way to adjust these things, or do you just order a thousand pots/switches and sort through em'?

$5 switch Vs. $40 switch

My old switch on my Beloved 1966 Tele broke, so I got a new switch from Stew-Mac, and it was a little loose, required some tightening of the little metal tabs that the blade contacts. Seems to have done the trick!

Sometimes the cheaper switches have a screw holding them together, instead of the metal tabs...you can just tighten that screw and you'll be fine.
