quick question....1st time wiring

im looking at the TDPRI.com 3 way wiring schematic.

about the two leads thatgo to the input jack.... which is ground and which is hot?

I don't wire my switch the way that diagram here on the TDPRI suggests, so I can't vouch for it. I wire mine like the Fender diagram below. But the part of the diagram you're asking about (the connection to the output jack) is the same on both.

The ground wire connects 1) the bottom of a pot, to 2) the terminal on the jack that's connected to the center "sleeve", which will sheath the long part of the output cord plug; that's the terminal on the right in the attached picture of a Switchcraft jack.

The hot wire connects 1) the middle terminal of the volume pot, to 2) the terminal on the jack connected to the prong which will touch the tip of the output cord plug; that's the terminal on the left in the attached picture of a Switchcraft jack.

Ground or black wire to the lug on the jack that is smooth. Hot or white wire to the notched lug on the jack.

Not all jacks have terminals shaped like Switchcraft jacks.
