I am hearing great reports from all over about these units, apparently the USA ones are far superior sounding to the Chinese made ones though. Does anyone here use them?

It really worked well. It did just what it is supposed to do and was very transparent. It was also very quiet for a compressor. I am now using Route 66 and I can already tell you the Digitech as a compressor is better and more versatile.

Incidentally, I heard the same thing about the USA built ones vs. the China ones. I checked this one and it was a USA.

If I ever get away from the Boss GT-6, which I use for FX only with a couple of pedals in its loop, I will probably get one.

It is a great compressor. Not better than the R66 (which is by far the best I've ever used, and believe me I used them all) but better than everything in this price range.
This and the MARSHALL ED1 are the best low $$ compressors in the market today.

A USA one, cheap on ebay. I thought I'd go for it as it was a great deal. Glad I did cos' it sounds great at home. I'm sure it will be okay gigging too. Zero noise from it which surprised me a bit.

better than the Maxon, any Boss, MXR, Dano, and a bunch of others. Haven't A/B'd it with a boutique one yet but I suspect it'll hold it's own. I've never had a compressor as smooth and transparent as the Digitech.

I have both in my possession and the Digitech is more tranparent, much quiter, and has more range. What else is there.

The Route 66 is a great pedal for what it is but compressor to compressor they're not in the same league.

John,

I like it 12 O'clock on all controls. I think this is a very good starting point anyway.

Good luck,

Jerry
