P90 country twang Gibson les paul

Best pickup to get country twang out of P90

That is a pretty LP. Do you really get a good country twang out of it?

Are you asking what PUP to use to get twang, or saying this one does???

The middle position on P-90's Les Paul's is great. Better than the Tele middle position in my opinion, and I always loved that sound on my Tele. My Gibson LP reissue (54) is my number one guitar now, but the "twang" produced by P-90's is a different sort of sound than the Tele "country twang" sound. Not better, not worse, just different. But I wouldn't call it country twang.

If your looking for a brighter sound out of the bridge pup you might try using 1meg pots. I haven't tried it but it seems like a good idea. :lol:

Don't change the LP. Just buy a Tele to go with it.

I'm about to order a Bill Lawrence SwampKaster Tele and have only recently begun playing. I have an old Yamaha acoustic that I've been picking on for awhile. I'm looking for more of a country/blues type sound as for my preference in style and am hoping I can get some solid advice as for my pickup configuration. My choices are:

Black Label Vintage Single Coil
2 L250T Noiseless Single-Blade Humbackers
3 L250T Noiseless Single-Blade Humbackers

From the research I've done I think what I want to order with the guitar are the 2 Humbackers but since I'm not very experienced it seems like this is a good place to ask.

I see all kinds of great information around this board and it seems as though this newbie is going to be a regular based on what I've read around here so far.
