Adding a baseplate and threading etc?

By threading, I mean having the 3 bridge PUP screws thread into the baseplate, as opposed to not touching the actual plate.

1) Small hole for screws:

2) Larger hole and screw still thread into plastic of bobbin?
Like I am considering doing like a TDPRI member has in another thread:

Having read the Bill Lawerance text on baseplates, it stuck out to me Bill indicates the screws send vibrations to the plate and is responsible for added twang factor.

So how would the second scenario effect the twang factor??

BL: The steel baseplate also transmits from the steel bridge mount via the steel mounting screws some of the body vibrations into the pickup, resulting in that typical Tele twang.
