I really need advice on pick ups.
Which humbuckers would you recommend for coil splitting (or is it called coil tapping?)?
I've had people suggest a DiMarzio Chopper for the bridge but I'd like to hear more ideas and suggestions for the neck too.
Cheers in advance guys!

Welcome to the TDPRI.
My vote is for the Lindy Fralin Unbucker.

`what sort of sound do you want from the humbucker, and what sort of sound do you want from the split coil? Which will be your main sound?
I've had a few of my guitars wired with humbuckers wired to be split, a DiMarzio PAF, a Seymour Duncan 59 and a Duncan Jazz. All the buckers sound like great humbuckers, and all the splits sound thin and contrast with the humbucking sound. However, they don't sound anything like a single coil pickup, and to me, the split doesn't really sound 'good' at all. It might be my taste, or the particular pickups I have tried, and although the sound isn't (to me) great, it can be useful if you need to change sound for a quieter part of a bridge in a song or something.

I discovered no later than this week that the DiMarzio Steve Morse bridge DP200, not only splits very well but, in this mode, produces a quite decent sound in intermediate position (that isn't always true with any humbucker with great split tone), combined with a standard single coil; Very surprising, for a high power humbucker.
But perhaps you 're talking about tele bridge sized humbuckers; I haven't given a try personally, but the DiMarzio Air Norton T maybe can give better results than the Chopper T in split mode (Closer to a standard tele sound, as it's specified in the description found in their site).
