Something Joel suggested on another post.
I'll kick it off by putting the worst photo on first.
I'm on the right and the "real" guitarist Big John, is on the left.

(Except) Fer a few stupid inner-rupt-shunz this issa great thread.

Many thanks for calling my post a stupid interuption.

Didn't know you were so deadly serious about gathering information on what everybody looks like so you can download and save it for "future use"...whatever that means.

Maybe some of us don't want our pics, home address, phone number, bank account, gig schedule (so you can tell when no one is home) and a inventory of how many guitars and amps we have at home floating around out there on the net. Any fool can type in Google.com and dig up all of your data pretty easily. I feel that there's a pretty big line between being a real person and being foolish with information. Guess, I'm not a real person because I don't fit easily into your clique.

Of course *you* may not have had 18,000 worth of equipment stolen like I have, so I keep pretty close tabs on stuff now.

I Forgot NO HUMOR is allowed...now let's get back to talking about string trees.

And here's my cover note to OF:

"G'day, Ole Fuzzy,

This web rolodex of yours goes a long way towards erasing some of the bad vibes we've noticed on the board these last few months.

Please find attached a not very flattering picture of me taken seconds after taking possession of my first guitar in 20 years, and my very first Tele (a HWY1, in case your seasoned eye can't tell.) August 2nd 2003, 110 degrees in the shade — a date for me to remember.

It was the sound and the beauty of the Telecaster -- as well as my darling's encouragement -- that brought me back to guitar playing, and I'm loving it in my own modest way.

Keep on posting. Paul certainly makes TDPRI possible, but you are the thing's soul.

Cheers,

D."

Mr. Joel: You are correct sir! All indications say its a '71. The neck has no date (apparently not unusual for these years). The serial number is 300xxx, the pots are dated '66 (1 meg) and the bridge pick-up has a code of 9250 which is from '70. So its probably an early '71. Thanks for asking. Oh, and I'm a '61, no neck date either!

On PBS playing with Michele Shocked? Please forgive me, I dont know much about her, but I heard she was a folk singer, but I stumbled upon the last song on a PBS type showcase, and there was Michele Shocked, belting out and playin some Rockin-Blues song. And if I'm not mistaken, one of the guitarist's looked a lot like you! No jokin, or pullin any legs here. So was it you? Enquiring Telecaster minds wanna know!
