It wasn't long after that was taken that I was headed over the Skagerakk on that nice Fred Olsen's roller coaster of a boat to start work for the first time in Norway at Silius bistro in Kristiansand with Roger Humphries and I had my brand new Squier Strat with me !! ........... No, about a year after that shot I traded it for a Guild Starfire III. Everybody wanted Guilds, Gretschs and Rickies. It was the fashion.

I know where it is though, an old friend of mine has owned it for the past 30 years or so and it's been refinished in Oly white. He guards it with his life!

This was my first Telecaster, in 1975.

The second photograph, in 1981. Traded the Tele for a Lester.
I know there were some good ones around, but this one was a disaster,

yes, this picture is from a dress rehearsal for a show the comedy acting group i write/preform/do music cues for did back in February. among our scripts were 2 or three comedic songs written by my fellow musician in the pit. the banjo has to accompany a little ditty called "my imaginary girlfriend left me for my best friend AKA the psych ward song" which was okay because it was in small amounts and was mock country i suppose

That's me playing a Serge Gainsbourg song in french for a crowd of about 20-30 drunken Miamians at Drake's bar. The MIM sticker-covered Sunburst tele is now a cleaner Esquire which has been painted light blue with a parchment guard and vintage-style hardware.

My bandmates were probably taking a smoke break or hitting on the bartender.

Those who are not familiar with her might want to google her name. She's a singer extraordinaire. I'm the guy w. the telecaster. had to wear glasses to be able to read the settings of my Line 6 DR 4 in the dark.
