Spare or replacement Boss pedal baseplates?

Does anyone have a source for replacement or spare Boss pedal baseplates.

I'm about to assemble a new pedalboard and I'm intending to use Velcro. A couple of my pedals are the earlier Boss models and staring to show some market value so I want to avoid sticking Velcro to the bases if possible. A couple I've had in the past have lifted the information panel on the base and I want to avoid this if possible.

Any thoughts, suggestions or suppliers?

Just cut the velcro to only stick to the rubber and not the pedal's label. Or use the bicycle chain link method for attaching your Boss pedals.

Peter, take off a base plate and take it to a sheet metal shop, betcha they can make you up a bunch of usable flat pieces cut to size, holes and all...

Just go to the hardware store get a piece of sheet metal cut it to size , drill four holes and you are done.

I don't know if this works or not, but I have heard someone suggest taking the baseplates off, then putting them back on inside out (meaning sticker side in), then screwing them back onto the pedals that way. Another suggesttion, and this is what I do, is that I take a piece of cardboard and cut it into the shape of the sticker on the bottom, then put that over the sticker, then apply velcro. Not only does this protect the sticker, but it gives you a level surface for the velcro to adhere to, and that way you use all the velcro instead of the part thats just on the rim of the sticker indentation. Or search eBay for stuff like this:

Tim, this will be my final / ultimate approach. I've made some enquiries over the weekend.

I've tried this and it works OK but the velcro is stronger than the adhesive so it pulls the adhesive off if you need to move the pedal. Great idea though.

Roland can supply them! I e-mailed Roland UK last night and they replied this morning and invited me to order the parts.

The old type, for pedals like the CE2 with the ACA input, the part number is: 2202711601

For modern/current pedals, the part number is: 22027851R0.

The cost for the older type is 23-pence and the cost for the newer type is a whopping 42-pence. Plus tax of course!

They need to be ordered from Japan and the part numbers are global part numbers. The description is a "cover" and the base refers to the rubber pad. The minimum order for the UK is £3.00 so I ordered a spare one of each!

OK, after not too long a wait, my plates have arrived from Boss. Not quite what I was expecting but something to work with.

The standard plate actually comes with the rubber base, like this:

But the notched ones are just the plate.

I'm going to check with Roland to determine if they can supply the plates only, but I'm happy for now.
