Tidying up my Tele wiring

I am (I think) near to finished with tinkering with my Tele, the pups I have now are great, and the tone is what I want.

But, my wiring is a bit of a mess. So I am thinking of re-wiring it again, and doing a really tidy job. I guess I should ensure all the solder joints are good, but any do you have any tips for a really professional wiring job. How short do you cut your leads, do you wire up in a particular order? What about twisting cables together?

Bring on the tips, I'm sure you guys can keep me busy obsessing for a few days more

If you have that objective in mind (neatness)...that's half the battle, just follow your instincts on neat soldering...a little shrink tubing here & there...and measure twice...cut once, and you'll do just fine.
