new build - pickguard fit issue

It doesn't look right so I'd reshape it until it does. I'd do it by hand using a sanding block and sandpaper........... shouldn't take much.

Doesn't speak well of Musikraft bodies.

I'd reshape the allparts pickguard and save the expensive one for another project.

Once you start reshaping that expensive CS blackguard, it is just another bastage piece of plastic.

If you have a soft touch and a dremel with extra fine barrel sanding bit, looks like you do this easily. I'd trace it to match the contour of the horn first. Keep the bit moving and lightly so.

I reshaped on of those pickguards once to fit the slightly wider fretboard of an MIJ tele. I just used a sanding block and went through the grits. It wasn't a perfect solution but worked, just be careful not to slip and take out any of the shiny top surface.

I know where you're coming from though because that sort of thing really bothers me too.
