Question about Ferrule Size

I bought a warmoth tele body and bought some ferrules from Callaham.

Do you have to redrill the ferrule's a different size, because the callaham one's seem a tad bigger than the ferrule hole.
Does anyone know what Size Warmoth drills their Ferrule holes" I can't find it on their website.

I am going to follow the Stewmac method of Ferrule installation with a hammer/Phillips Screwdriver/soldering iron.

I recently bought a Warmoth body and the ferrule holes were 5/16". You shouldn't have to redrill the holes. In fact, it seems like it would be pretty difficult to redrill the holes and maintain even spacing.

In my case, the ferrule fit wasn't a problem because I modified the holes somewhat. (As an experiment, I followed the counter sink method described by Jack (jwells393) (http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-tech/115602-yet-another-question-about-ferrules.html). But that was only because I didn't like the way Warmoth did the holes. Ordinarily, the countersinks should not be necessary).

Apparently I don't have to do anything, as long as I don't mind them looking like the non recessed one's on the right.
The body is a warmoth and it is going to have a bigsby...
The ferrules are already drilled so I am just doing something to them so that the back of the guitar doesn't look odd.
I guess I could put a cool sticker back there instead?

Nah, it's just my personal quirk. I don't think the non-recessed ferrules look any different. In fact, I've since discovered that many Fender models come with the ferrules on top. I don't think anyone can tell the difference from more than a few feet away.

Now, if I could just figure out a way to recess that damn neck plate...

The USACG body, in addition to being vintage Fender correct in every way except for being virtually identical in cut and having perfectly aligned ferrule holes, has a recessed second cut into the wood to allow the ferrule to sit flush with the surface. Exquisite fit. I use the plain walled ferrules that you find on MIM Fenders for the Ash bodies, the splined ones for alder and mahogany bodies. Highly recommended.

Warmoth, by comparison, does a single hole, no recess in the wood for the lip, and in a very small size. Not recommended. I like Warmoth necks, I do not like their bodies. Wrong shapes, too small, you name it.

Review the posts of JWells393 here. He shows a methodology for recessing the lipped ferrule which makes good sense to me.
