Help me find a pedal..

My old guitar teacher had an EQ pedal that he used to use during lessons, it was a black, metal thing with a signal boost built in to add a small amount of Distortion, it had the old style round metal footswitch on it, and it may have had more than one input (I'm not 100% sure on that), it looked pretty old. I think I'd remember if it was made by one of today's big names, but I can't recall the brand so it may have been made by a lesser known company.

If anyone can suggest what this may have been, I'd be thankful.:wink:
