having trouble stripping the fine hookup wires that come on SD split humbuckers.
my wire strippers are good for most wire but this stuff is very fine and the stripping tool wont even look at it - try to strip it buy thumb and fingernail and mostly just stretch the insulation or break off the wire

how do yu guys strip really fine wire ??

I use a wire stripper like this one:

For the thin wires, I use a knife and my thumb. I peel the other side back and snip it.

Try a lighter or match. Momentarily burn the rubber off, have a fine piece of sandpaper handy to clean up the copper wire.

-I use a set of mini end nippers. Whenever I use my thumbnail, I either stretch the insulation or break it wire and all. I use the nippers to lightly score the insulation all the way around then just grip it lightly and pull the section off. I have a small kit with 6 mini pliers in it ranging from bent needle-nose to the end nippers.

Cat's got it. You can strip anything with those. I use them to strip little lan cable's inner leads

I use wire cutters. Just allow the cutter to bite the insulation then pull back. You can feel when you are hitting the wire.

I nick it with a razor blade and finish with thumbnail.
