Should I change the pickguard?

The pictures are bad. I placed the pickguard to give me an idea of what the black pearloid would look like. It's sherwood green metallic with a white pg. If I do put the black pearoid would I need black knobs and pickup covers?

I always stick to white. I tend to leave stuff alone too.

I like the way this one turned out, so I was fishing for opinions.

Not a fan of black pearl guards on anything other than black, white, or silver/grey. On that green, I think you need white, white pearl, or parchment.

But that's just my opinion.

The white works. If it ain't broke...

Then again, I hate pearloid

Mint green would probably be cool.

I put mint on my daughters Sherwood Green Strat after she saw a picture of custom shop strat in a catalog. It gets great responses even from my wife who generally could care less.

I'm with Papa Jo. Don't like white scratch plates with white knobs - black or tort everytime.

The good thing about Strat pickguards is that they are relatively inexpensive and if they don't look right they are easy to swap again for something more suitable. Or just have a change every now and again according to the whim of the player? The same goes for knobs, pup covers and switch tip.

What the hell color is that? Is that white with a tint from the picture or is that a light light green? That is very cool.

i'm not a big fan of pearloid, BUT the black on that strat looks good to me. yes, i'd go with black plastic with that particular P/G

Must say I like that mint guard with the aged parts a lot. Perhaps that would be my choice.

It was supposed to be vintage white but it has a green tint kind of like a key lime.
