TS9 MOD? [Archive] - Telecaster Guitar Forum

I have a ri tube screamer (9)that has been modded to the ts 8. how can i tell if it has been done right or has all the componets it takes to do it to the excact ts8?

Here is a site with all kinds of info about Tubescreamers, mods, etc...

Click on the "technology of ... " link , then go to Tubescreamers.
I don't know that you'll be able to tell much by just looking inside your TS9RI, the mods don't really consist of that much, changing out a few caps, resistors, sometimes the IC.
And FWIW, I have a TS10 that was modded per the info at the GEO site to TS808 specs, it was a subtle change, it did make an improvement but it wasn't a day and night difference.
