I think of them both as acoustic porch-picking with a British accent. I have a CD of John Renbourn of Pentangle and Robin Williamson of the Incredible String Band playing a duet concert in Saint Louis during that big flood a few years ago. It's called Wheel of Fortune. I've really just found this tuning. Fool around with it and I'm sure you'll find plenty. But it really is droney - makes the guitar sound more like a dulcimer. Or a sitar. I never got to see ISB but I saw Robin about the time Journey's Edge came out. He and his band were awesome. PS: I've also seen him solo a couple of times and it was mixed. Some great stuff mixed in with some boring long folk tales.
