Hope someone can help, and if this isnt appropriate as it isnt tele related feel free to move,

Jack Wells July 28th, 2008, 01:35 PM I doubt you'll find what you're looking for here. We have a bit of tunnel vision when it comes to guitars and guitar building. And besides, after looking at this picture I don't understand why anyone would want one. .......... See .......... that's the tunnel vision talking.

Its what the guys in racer x used to use. The body is an olympic and then its got a kahler trem, duncan distortion in the bridge and a duncan vintage firebird in the neck. I thought the guitars looked pretty cool so i thought i'd try make myself one as im a carpenter, any help from the builders would be great, seen some great builds on here,
cheers

my advice is to get over this weird looking epi and build a proper esquire -
it will be a far better guitar than these candy coloured monstrosities beig played alien criters from a bygone era
sean79 July 28th, 2008, 07:38 PM Are those Ibanez necks on the pink and green guitars they're playing in the second picture?
I can't help you with the body-shape template. Do you know of anyone who has a guitar like that? If so, you could trace the body shape and make your own template. That Epiphone sure has a goofy looking headstock. Good luck.
scubadoo July 28th, 2008, 07:48 PM i doubt you'll get what you want but there are so many knowledgable and helpful people here that can teach you the skills to do whatever you want. I only joined in April and I'm already on my 3rd build!
And welcome.
Jack Wells July 28th, 2008, 07:48 PM I think old picker's got it right. And besides, you'd have to buy some of these pants.

jaydawg July 28th, 2008, 11:18 PM I'm a sucker for a cool off beat guitar, so I gave this a try.
I took the photo into autocad and traced it with a spline then scaled the drawing to get a 25.5" scale. Then I ploted it to a PDF. You should be able to print it out full size and get your body shape.
Man it is WAY past my bedtime. Gotta go.....................
