made in America "squire" stat...COME ON!!!

I just read an Ebay ad..sorry...I'm not real computer savy about posting links.......but it was a made in the US Squire strat in the 1989-1990 era...seller claims the overseas plant burnt down...so they were made in the US in those years....please..someone inform me about this..my head wants to explode with this bull#$$%t!!!!!

USA Squiers are very rare. Some of them have a serial number with a E = Eighties (1980s) prefix, and some of them have a serial number with a N = Nineties (1990s) prefix. USA Squiers were made for less than a year spanning 1989 and 1990 before production of Squiers went back to Mexico. This was a period when Made in Japan Squiers had stopped and then they moved Squiers to Mexico, but there was a fire in the Mexican factory which disrupted things for a few months in which Fender USA made the Squiers

Yep, they're real. They seem to go for around $400+, a real good price for an 18+ year old MIA Fender.

I have only seen MIA Squier Strats, did they make any other style of guitar?

Uh-huh! Not to mention the fact that in the mid-'80's essentially all Fender guitars were coming from Japan during the reorganization of the company following the CBS sell-off.
