Telenator July 19th, 2008, 09:57 AM I studied with the guy who owns this guitar and have played it on several occasions. The best sounding Strat I've ever heard.
Check out the story.

Disclaimer: I am not trying to sell this thing. It's just a cool piece I though people might be interested in reading about.

Telenator July 19th, 2008, 05:12 PM Really.
I thought it was cool anyway.
endzone July 19th, 2008, 05:35 PM Thanks for the story Telenator. Those kinds of stories always interest me, especially when you can see good pics.
Don't know why some people have to question everything and pretty much call others liars. Just party poopers by nature, I guess.
aznrambo481 July 19th, 2008, 05:46 PM I love the bottom left of the picture (forearm rest contour) that fades from orange to pink... Sunsetcaster? :-P But that would be one hell of a burst...
BritishBluesBoy July 19th, 2008, 05:46 PM Really.

It was cool. Very cool in fact. Thanks for posting.
I got totally lost looking through all the cool stuff on that site... Not gonna buy any of it (expensive!) but fascinating to look at...
Doug Ferguson July 19th, 2008, 06:12 PM I'd heard stories about this guitar and recall reading something about years ago. Here's some more about it and more pics.

Telenator July 19th, 2008, 06:29 PM You should hear Paul play it! As bluesmen go, he's the real deal!
JimiBryant July 19th, 2008, 07:40 PM holy crap! some cool stuff going on the block there.
double-thanks for posting, Telenator!!
Caffeine Patrol July 19th, 2008, 08:29 PM What's that part about the "pink Start?"
Doesn't a five-figure guitar at least merit re-reading your copy once or twice (just because spell check doesn't catch it doesn't mean there isn't something wrong)?
Just saying.
sa paine July 19th, 2008, 09:30 PM That's pretty cool, I'm pretty sure ''Heard it on the X'' from Fandango is played with a Strat, was it that one ? And lots of great Pearly Gates action.
tazzboy July 19th, 2008, 09:46 PM I wonder if that is the strat he used on La Grange?

No, I read a lengthy interview that asked him all that kind of stuff. In it, he said when he used a Strat on his recordings, it was one he still has. I think it was a '55. I'll have to see if I can dig that magazine out.

Come on pal ! I put the funny face after just as a joke. You are very sensitive. I've enjoyed the pics and description of the guitar just like any other here. And the fact that the thing cost over $30 000 just doesn't make it a commercial item, but rather an Art piece for us all to enjoy.
