I know he had a black strat...and played a sunburst...but what do you guys know about what he played?.....cant help it...besides Jimmy Page, I would have Loved to walk a mile in "the Edge's" shoes....

From what I remember it was a 70's strat black, maple neck big 70's headstock with a black/white black pickguard and b lack pickup covers and knobs. If you get the live at redrocks dvd he plays it on that one allot. I don't have the dvd I just remember seeing there.

1977... (body at least) as the outside curve of the basside (upper) body horn is slightly flattening out due to a cad/cam programing mistake - and that happened in late 1977. You need to see the guitar from right front...

I really think "Technique" as being - You work with what Got gives You.
I mighta learned that from Ike Turner and Albert King and Albert Collins.
Bo Diddley too.
Most of "the technique guys" sacrificed the Moolah for "The Art" and paid a heavy price for it.
The Best Technique?
Turning it into a Profession.
In fact - that's the only technique that actually counts.
