I'm thinking of pulling the trigger and getting one of these (http://www.super-vee.com/) systems. I've got a bit of Blackmore fetish but can't stand the trem going out of tune so most of the time mine is set flat to the body with 5 springs.
I've tried guitars with Floyd Roses but I just can't get on with them so I'm thinking of getting the Supervee and maybe teaming it up with a tremelo-no.
Has anybody installed one of these??

I read their site and I have a lot of trouble believing that "friction-free" line. Maybe it comes with a time warp, too.

The other thought I've had when looking at it is how do you adjust your truss rod if that locking nut is blocking the adjustment hole?

1 - I've seen some threads about these so I know some guys have installed them. Personally I never had a problem with a stock Fender trem going out of tune. I too can't get along with an FR. I like them to stay in tune when i bend a string too.
2 - why is your truss rod adjustment at the wrong end of the neck?

I've had my Strat (with vintage style trem) since 1984 and I've never had a problem with tuning... You just need to set it up properly...

We installed one in my sons partscaster....It works really , really well , and I wouldnt even consider a Floyd after trying this one instead....The locking nut ( looks kind of goofy , but Ive gotten used to it) , have a hole for the smaller size wrench , I belive its the size of the US Fenders. You can either buy the adapter from them , or remove the nut when its time to adjust the rod.
Really not more difficult than removing the neck on a heel adjust neck...
He really use the trem hard , and have broken a few bars. The trem stays in tune , no matter how hard he uses it. Very easy to install , and well made...
