Can you put a 24 fret neck on a strat body without having to relocate the bridge, or is the scale different??? A student of mine wishes to do so....

There are a lot of the "Superstrats" that have 24 fret necks with the heel under the last frets; their neck pockets are cut farther into the body. Vizcaster July 16th, 2008, 08:53 PM The bridge location and scale stay the same - additional frets just keep getting added as the fretboard grows towards the bridge. Problem is the pickup would have to be moved, and once you do that it won't sound like a Strat anymore.
