Hi,
I purchased a Mighty Might (Licensed by Fender) Tele body -- its ash with a quilted maple top and I need to know what kind of bridge it takes.
I tried a Fender Vintage 3 barrel saddle bridge but it was off by about 1/8"
Anyone with any experience with this would be helpful, including links to where to buy a bridge for it. Thanks.

It's my understanding that Fender doesn't license bodies........ only necks.
All vintage style Tleecaster bridges are essentially the same regarding dimensions, string holes and mounting holes. If the body isn't drilled for a vintage bridge you're probably only left with a modern Fender 6-saddle bridge.

If you can provide details or pictures, maybe someone here can help you figure out what bridge the body was drilled for.

Hi,
I tried a Mighty Might modern bridge, a Fender six saddle bridge and both were too long for the predrilled string holes and where the bridge pickup sits.
With a vintage bridge - and the pickup in place in the routed hole, about 1/8" of the tele bridge hole would need to be routed away.
I was just wondering if I got a miscut body or if there was a bridge I haven't tried.
There are no holes drilled for bridge mounting and before it gets drilled I was test matching up the bridge and pickup. A top loading bridge will work but I really wanted to take advantage of the string thru's.
Has anyone ever gotten a body that had one of the holes just a bit off that required routing?

With the vintage bridge/pickup combo in place, how far are the bridge string holes from the body string holes? A picture would surely help

With a vintage bridge - and the pickup in place in the routed hole, about 1/8" of the tele bridge hole would need to be routed away.
The bridge pickup rout is probably in the standard position, so that given a 25.5" scale length the pickup will be the same distance from the saddle end of the strings, as in Fender designed Teles. If you placed the pickup a different distance than Fender specs from the string end, the tone will be different.
The string through holes are probably made for a bridge spec that you haven't tried. Which Mighty Mite bridge did you try? If you mount a pickup in a vintage spec bridge plate and center it in the bridge rout, in which direction from the bridge plate's string holes are the body's string through holes? Are they closer to the neck, or are they farther from the neck? And how far off are they?
Again, more details and/or a picture would help.

I'd do it as a top loader.
These come from across the ocean and are subject to the same vagaries as the GFS bodies. There's no pushback at the factory level when these things are wrong, no-one next door building out this product in to finished guitars; they just drop it in the packing box and make more.
Mighty Might. Mighty Mite?
Maybe Might be.
That's better. Maybe Might be.
